The Mystery Method is a patent pending method of seduction. The Method was first introduced by Pickup artist Erik Von Markovic AKA “Mystery” and was subsequently developed by PUA Savoy and other Mystery Method instructors (The Don, Cajun, Ten magnet, Mr. M, Sheriff, etc.) who have revitalized the method into something that works for a wide variety of men, not just those who have Mystery’s looks, height and lifestyle.

The system was initially outlined in posts on the PUA newsgroup “alt.seduction.fast” Since December 2006, Mystery is no longer part of The Mystery Method website and it‘s teachings, he has since launched his own company, The Venusian Arts…a new venture with Lovedrop (Chris Odem) and Matador (Stan Tayi).

The Venusian Arts is a method of seduction; similar to the Mystery Method, as in it teaches the same core principles of ‘game’. In-Field video of the new system in work has shown a few elements of Mystery’s new system, such as: “Mystery’s Kiss Gambit” and a host of new openers which are featured in a new DVD product; Mind of Mystery.

Mystery is responsible for coining a lot of famous terminology now used in the world of seduction: such as “3 second rule”, “set”, “peacocking”, “indicator of interest (IOI)”, “indicator of disinterest”, “last minute resistance”, “routine”, “neg” etc.

Many of the techniques taught in the method are engineered to convey higher value to the ‘target’. Examples include story-telling with embedded (but well concealed) bragging, appearing emotionally un-reactive to ‘targets’ and demonstrating that the user is ‘pre-selected’ by women. These techniques and many others are taught as part of the ‘M3 Model’, which follows a three step structure: attraction, comfort and seduction.

The Mystery Method states that men are attracted to women who offer the highest Replication Value, and women are attracted to the male who demonstrates the highest Survival value. In this scenario it is the male who demonstrates the most alpha like behaviour that will attract the highest value women.

The Mystery Method teaches that people have strong emotional reactions to others with higher value than themselves. Men will have an emotional reaction in response to a very attractive woman, while women will have an emotional reaction in response to men who display the qualities of the ‘Tribe Leader or ‘Alpha Male’’.

This emotional reaction leads to an adrenaline rush, and leads the person to demonstrate abnormal behaviour around the other person. An attractive woman causes this reaction in the majority of men she meets, the Mystery Method teaches that she will subconsciously believe that any male who appears emotionally non-reactive to her is of higher value than her, and she will become attracted to him.

Il Metodo Mystery ebbe così tanto successo che divenne sinonimo della seduction community e fece diventare la Mystery Method Corporation la compagnia di seduzione più di successo al mondo. Il tutto non avvenne senza la mancanza di parecchio criticismo dello stesso modello ed addirittura delle tattiche di Mystery.Il concetto del ‘negging’ secondo il quale un uomo da ad una donna alla quale è interessato un ‘insulto’ alla rovescia in modo da abbassare il suo ‘valore’ rispetto al quello dell’uomo, a portato a Mystery molta critica perfino con accuse che tale tattica patrocinia una basilare nebbia di misoginia al processo del sedurre le donne. Un’altra critica del Metodo Mystery è la sua mancanza di flessibilità - siccome di addice meglio nel sedurre le donne nei bar o discoteche.

Il ‘Peacocking’ un’altra sfaccettatura del Metodo Mystery ha anch’esso acceso vari dibattiti. Questa tattica si basa sull’effetto nel regno animale, nel quale il pavone con il piumaggio più grande e prominente viene considerato dalle donne della sua specie come il più attraente. Attraverso il Metodo Mystery, Mystery insiste che siccome gli uomini fanno parte del mondo degli animali le donne più belle sono attratte dagli uomini che spiccano e si distinguono di più rispetto agli altri uomini, così incoraggiando bizzarri consigli di moda ai suoi studenti come ad esempio l’indossare occhiali da sole nelle discoteche/bar/nightclub o il mettere mascara sulle ciglia.

In tempi recenti è avvenuto un cambiamento nella seduction community, la quale si sta man mano muovendo via dalla commercializzazione (con l’uscita di film come ‘Hitch’ e ‘Wedding Crashers - 2 single a nozze’ e la proposta di un film basato sul libro di Neil Strauss’ - ‘The Game’), verso uno stile più ‘natural’ nell’approcciare donne che evita di usare routine e materiale “in scatola” che è stato ripassato di volta in volta, rendendo il Metodo Mystery quasi fuori-moda e fuori-luogo.

If a guy significantly improves his women-skills, he may be labelled a pickup artist (PUA) or player. But not all skilled pickup artists are interested in one-night stands…

The term pick up artist has negative connotations. It brings to mind sleazy lounge lizards with too much jewelry and cologne, out to get the next conquest. That’s not how we at the Mystery Method see it. The pick up artist is really just the first 20 minutes or so of an interaction between a man and a woman in social/dating situation. Mystery Method is proud to teach all types of men how to be a pick up artist. We are proud to teach the skills and techniques to break through the ice and social convention and actually approach and get the attention of interest of a desirable woman, whether she is alone, with friends, or in a large mixed group. Whether she then becomes your friend, your girlfriend, or your lover is up to you, the pick up artist.

But with good PU skills a guy can meet and attract women from different backgrounds, different levels of education, and even different cultures and countries. A guy with good pickup skills has options and does not necessarily want to bed every woman he meets!

Telling personal stories should not only intrigue the target girl/audience but also present the opportunity to display higher value… so set your-self apart from the other guys.

When you tell a story, it doesn’t have to be explicitly impressive. In fact, it’s better if it’s not some amazing story; you don’t want the target to think you’re trying to impress her. As long as the story is fun, interesting, and most importantly captures the attention of her group, then it is fine. These sorts of stories are most congruent if they are somewhat true and based on events from your own life.

When it is possible to convey traits that will flip attraction switches, without making it obvious that you are doing so deliberately, it is a DHV and generates attraction. For example, in a story, it is possible to flip the leader of men attraction switch by congruently adding something like: “…so I told him I have no choice, it’s my little sister. So he jumps in the car, cause you know my friends are there for me one-hundred percent, and I’m the same way for them, that’s just how we are…”
